Net Zero Development

“Net Zero” is our guiding north star and foundational approach to community development.

We focus on integrating Net Zero features into four essentials of life: construction (shelter), energy, water, and food. With this, the communities we design give back as much as they take from the earth.

Net Zero Construction means choosing sustainable materials that are longevity-based and superior for mitigating risk of expensive damage caused by natural disasters like wildfires, hurricane-strength winds, earthquakes, and health issues from pests and mold.

Net Zero Energy means integrating the newest technology to benefit from the highest levels of efficiency provided by renewable resources. Imagine our homes, schools, and offices producing enough clean energy to self-power all year round.

Net Zero Water means ensuring that water use is balanced by reusing or recycling an equal amount, ensuring we’re not depleting precious water sources. It’s like collecting rainwater to water the garden or using treated wastewater for flushing toilets, so every project gets an A+ in water conservation.

Net Zero Food means turning available land into lush food forests right where people live and work. This way, we can enjoy fresh, healthy, local foods without the carbon footprint caused by shipping food from faraway places. It’s all about growing what we need—right in our backyards (or community gardens), using smart tech and a little help from local green thumbs.

For us, Net Zero is a commitment to building a future where our communities thrive in harmony with nature. Whether it’s a cozy house, a bustling office, or an entire neighborhood, we’re all about making spaces that are good for the planet and great for the people who live and work there. It’s our way of creating a balance that helps everyone and everything flourish.
